Welcome to SS427.com

~ my personal homepage ~

My name is Steve Shreffler - a.k.a. "Corvette6769" on the web

After playing with Corvettes and Muscle cars for more than 42 years, it is finally time to "thin the herd"

To reduce the size of my private Corvette and Muscle Car collection, I am going to part with at least 5 of the 24 rare cars that I currently own.  The five cars are my:

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air - 2-Door Hard Top Sport Coupe - PS, PB, PG, PP 283 4-bbl

1967 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray - 427 Tri-Power 3x2 - Close Ratio 4-Speed - Power Brakes

1970 Ford Torino COBRA - 429 SUPER Cobra Jet (Ford's version of the LS-6 Chevelle & Hemi ‘Cuda)

1972 Lincoln Continental Mark IV - 460 4v - Every Available Option   (Sold)

1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV - 460 4v - Triple Black – Mint Condition   (Sold)

All but 3 of the fine automobiles in my collection are a combination of well-restored and/or excellent original condition.

I am not a dealer (the last time I sold any car before now was 37 years ago and have regretted selling that one ever since).  I bought and/or restored each of these desirable collector cars, with the intention of keeping them forever.  However, my time to maintain my collection has become limited and my garage is now full since I recently purchased some vehicles and need the garage space.

For further detailed information about these cars, please click the following links:

Two other cars I am considering parting with may be my 1967 Chevelle SS 396 375 hp and/or my 1969 El Camino SS 396 375 hp.

I do not have anything about my 1967 Chevelle or 1969 El Camino posted on the Internet as of yet, but I will post information on them as I get it written.

Please bookmark this page and check back from time to time, as I will be adding detailed information as soon as possible.

Please pass this information on to anyone who may be interested.

Thank you.

After waiting over 6 months to see if Chevrolet was going to allow the new LS-6 engine option to be ordered in the roadster (as it had been rumored), on 7-1-00, the day it was introduced, I custom ordered my 2001 C5 Corvette convertible to be built.  It was given Order Number CRMRPJ, accepted by GM on 7-31-00, reached Event Code 3100 on 9-6-00, was issued Sequence # 8271 and Target Production Week of 9-25-00.  My new C5 was the second Corvette born on Wednesday 9-27-00, and was finally delivered 10-3-00.  I stayed in constant contact with the Corvette Factory and followed the transport truck into the dealership to take delivery directly off the truck.  This modern American Muscle Car is everything it is suppose to be (0-60 in 4 seconds and 12 second ¼ miles) and it takes a $125,000 import to out run my true American sports car for which I paid half as much (plus it came with A/C, a killer Bose stereo, and the top goes down).
